What are we dealing with in the current American monstrous administration?

 Millions of attempts have been offered by brains and observers far more insightful and experienced than this scribe, to describe, analyze, diagnose, and rein in the storm of violence that continues to be inflicting so many different deliberate and lethal tortures on so many people, jurisdictions, industries, institutions by the current United States of America administration. Each and every one of those articulate and insightful pieces is worthy in itself to be compiled into a compendium of ‘take-out-trump’ literary grenades.

Individually and  even collectively, they too often fail to even leave a mark on this apparently elusive, mercurial, slick, greasy, Houdini-like escape artist.  “HE” oscillates between offensive lethal attacks on select targets, whether they are opponents, social or religious or political or economic ‘trash’ (in the mind of this monster), and vindictive, vengeful, unconstrained and totally unjustified ‘elimination-of-enemies’ projects. Armed as he is, not only with the nuclear codes, but also the sycophancy of the Congress, the Supreme Court, the Civil Service, the Pentagon, the Justice Department, The F.B.I., Homeland Security Department, I.C.E. and the various personal sycophantic ‘heads’ of all government departments, whether by open admission or private and secret ‘fear of reprisal’ through firings, or violent or even lethal threats, this monster is not able to be categorized in any of the several ways the constitution or the media, or the academics, taken together as a diagnostic team of experts, can effectively lay a hand on him. And this is especially true with the inner circle of mafia-clone-thugs, and the 75+ millions of his followers.

This piece, before we get any further, does not purport to provide the clues, the tactics or the strategies to depose this monster. Nor does it propose any secretive or investigative tools or perspectives that might bring this reign of terror to a final end.

Indeed, whatever comes next here may be little more than profound frustration, anger, fear and desperation to search for some ‘novel’ and creative lens through which this wholistic disease might be viewed.

Tyranny, despotism, oligarchy, narcissism, ego-mania, robbing the poor to feed the rich, securing the state for the Republicans for the next century…all accurate…but they do not go far enough.

Playing on the reverse snobbery of the disaffected ‘ordinary working men and women’ who detest the world being generated by the academic, economic, scientific, and what ‘they’ consider the culture wars implicit in D.E.I. and have found the ‘faces and names of these enemies’ among Democrats, immigrants, LGBTQ+, environmentalists, and programs than have sustained the poor and the indigent for decades, this administration has succumbed to the cult of personality, and worships at the mythical altar he attempts to surround himself with at all public appearances.

Of course, bringing a corporate, private-sector-profit-driven façade, HE is able to seduce many already ensconced in the ideology of the ‘far right’ that he is finally accomplishing what others have attempted and failed, making him a new and shining image of their ‘hero’.

Mix reverse snobbery, evangelical-religion-with messiah cornerstone, the Fuher’s ambition and playbook, the nuclear codes, the personal ambition to be the most famous person in history on the planet with a voting public comprised of many virtually illiterate, under-educated, often under-employed, certainly uninformed, desperate men and women looking for a ‘silver-bullet’ quick-fix answer to what they perceive as their ‘personal malaise’….in a cauldron fueled by a mass media that has become seduced and fixated on a model of both reporting and attending to public opinion, all of it devoid of deep and profound, complex critical thought and analysis, (for an audience who demands simplistic, reductionistic, and highly nationalistic cheer-leading)….and we are left with a cauldron of burning emotions, lies, deceptions, newspeak that shatters even the imagination of George Orwell in 1984, and we have a new ‘far-west frontier’ metaphor. Only this time, the frontier is not constrained by land claims; this time the frontier is far more than the survival of democracy, or the survival of the middle class, or the survival of the world order that has been the previous ‘gift’ of other American administrations, all  of whose history and reputation this monster seeks to eliminate or denigrade.

This time, the frontier has to be considered from the perspective of planetary survival, environmental survival, the survival of truth in the public square.

We are watching, like bowling balls, the fall or demise of major law firms, world class universities and their presidents, world class philanthropic and health care institutions and programs evaporated, American legal structure and foundations being dismantled, as well as international agreements being trashed as mere paper.

This is no ‘direct’ (‘I am invading Poland or Czechoslovakia’) order; this is no single identifiable target interior or international enemy….the enemies list embraces whomever and whatever impulsive, impetuous and irritable target this man happens to set his sights upon….and the duration of his ‘animus’ and the boundaries of his ambition are kept in secret as part of the strategy and tactic and overall aim of keeping everyone, every institution and every government on edge..thereby assuring the monster ‘total, unimpeded, uninterrupted and unquestioned and unimpugned dominance, control, power and empire.

It is not only a single system, or a single law, or a single tax or a single ‘anything’ that this man covets, or seeks to destroy, so long as he captures the headlines, the public conversation, and the public fear…

And capturing the public fear, in a manner dependent on the insurmountable and immeasurable fear of the monster itself, puts him in the most advantageous position…no one understands the foibles of unconstrained and unfettered and personal hollowness, emptiness and fear than the one whose life is a legacy of terrorized manipulation and control.

Wake up America….and also Canada, and the rest of the world…this is not a situation comparable to any previously authorized or utilized playbook.

The is the worst-case scenario of never-never-land-dystopia!

Others might see this as another paper-tiger! And from some perspectives, that fits!
